Five must have summer products

It’s summer time so I thought I would share five products I feel is necessary in the summer.

Before I put on foundation I apply either a lotion with spf in it or regular sunscreen. This one from olay is very light and blends nicely. The sunscreen from skin medica is a physical broad spectrum sunscreen so it is something I would wear to the beach rather than the olay.

I have oily skin so blotting tissues or touch up powder is a must. I’ve talked about the palladio rice paper blotting tissues  before, it is one my favorite touch up product. If you prefer a compact this translucent powder from bareMinerals is pretty good. You need to use a light hand or it could create a white cast. The powder has an spf of 15 which is great.

I have lashes that grow down and have trouble holding a curl so I tend to always get my mascara in waterproof. But if you are going to the beach or the pool and want to wear mascara but the one you want to wear is not waterproof then a waterproof “top coat” is a must. And because I have this topcoat I can try different mascaras that don’t come in waterproof!

My lips are always pretty dry so I always keep lip balm on hand. This one from neutrogena is moisturizing and gives a nice tint all while protecting against the sun with an spf of 20. (It also smells really good!)

Dry shampoo is a must have for me 24/7 but the need is increased in the summer time. This one from laboratoires klorane controls oils and gives volume.

What’s your summer must haves?

The Story of my learning

For my english class a Brawl is basically a debate but with more action, excitement, and yelling. It didn’t feel like we were debating, it felt like a fight to the death. Our life depended on getting out point and view across while destroying the other teams point and opinions. Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic but it was a lot of fun.

I never thought I would have a blog. Reading blogs and watching youtube videos is my favorite way to pass time, but to be writing the blog posts? Have a bunch of people read and judge what I create. No thanks. But I’m here, and I have to say it has been a great experience so far. There are so many amazing and sweet people in the blogging world and I’m proud to say I’m apart of this great community.

Fei inspired look

A little less than a week ago miss A released their music video ‘only you’ and I fell in love with Fei’s eyemakeup. It’s dramatic but yet wearable because of the neutral colors. I tried to recreate it, but my eyes are shaped differently than hers so it did not look the same on me. Also it was difficult trying to get a good look at her eyes because in the music video her close up shots where so short when I paused it was either blurry or went to the next scene. Basically this eyemakeup looks nothing like Fei’s but I used the same colors so Its close enough. Remember this look was “inspired” by fie’s makeup. 🙂

Easy spring makeup

The trend for spring 2015 is radiant light weight makeup. However models on the runways are rocking bright vibrant colors with bold eyes and lips. While I would love to go around with bright yellow and teal eyes with a bold vibrant orange red lip I don’t think society would approve. So I created a look that would combine a simple cat eye with a pop of pink which is very on trend.
